Psalms for Singing: An Evening of Psalms, Stories and Songs
Matthew David Montgomery ('17) is a church musician, session guitarist, and recording artist who currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee. Since graduating from Geneva College with a bachelor's degree in music education, Matthew has served in various staff positions leading musical worship at the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown (EPC), Grove City College, and most recently, Covenant Presbyterian (PCA) in Nashville.
In recent years, Matthew has worked to make Psalm-singing resources available and accessible to more churches by way of producing records in collaboration with other artists, creating sheet music charts, and hosting Psalm-sing concerts across the United States. Matthew's latest recorded works include Psalm-settings from Crown & Covenant Publications' Book of Psalms for Worship, along with instrumental guitar arrangements of hymn tunes and original compositions. You can find his recorded works (featuring artists Phil Keaggy, Jeremy Casella, and others) anywhere music is streamed.
Matthew and his wife Lois ('19) currently live in Brentwood, just south of downtown Nashville, where they enjoy hiking in local parks and spending time with their enormous Siberian cat, Pippin.
